Cookery Competition

Get your creative juices flowing for Fruity Fundays!

Get cooking for Viva! and VVF’s national competition as part of their Fruity Fundays campaign encouraging people to go veggie or vegan one or more day(s) a week. The challenge is to create the most delicious Fruity Fundays three-course vegan meal that uses the five-a-day (or more) recommended portions of fruit and vegetables. We are looking for something tasty, inventive but not too over-complicated.
Britain’s foremost vegetarian cookery writer Rose Elliot MBE will be judging the competition and Viva! patron and Dancing on Ice star Heather Mills will cook the winning meal for the winner and a friend to enjoy at her Brighton restaurant VBites. The winner will be announced at Viva!’s Incredible Veggie Roadshow in Brighton on 18 September 2010 and Heather will cook their meal at VBites that evening. Photos of the winner and their winning meal will be featured in Viva!life and Cook Vegetarian magazine, UK’s only monthly vegetarian cookery magazine.

The small print!
Recipes must be your own creation and should include a starter, a main course and a dessert. Your recipes must include at least five portions of fruit and veg which can be spread across the three courses as you wish. The deadline for entries is Monday 2 August 2010.
The winner must be available on the evening of Saturday September 18th after Viva!’s Incredible Veggie Roadshow in Brighton (we will contact the winner in advance by phone or email).
