Calling all budding master chefs! If you’re under 18, why not show off your culinary talents in our veggie Snappy Cooking Comp? We’re looking for some mouthwatering recipes to feature in our new veggie cookery guide for under 18s, Snappy Veggie Cooking. There are two categories for the competition; sweet and savoury. So if you know how to make a mouth-watering main course or a divine dessert – or anything else! Savoury dishes could be a starter; a main course; party food... Sweet dishes could be cookies; cakes; biscuits; desserts – you get the picture! All dishes must be veggie.

There will be two winners: one for the best savoury recipe and one for the best sweet recipe. The selected recipes will feature in the new cookery guide, along with your photo! However, that’s not all you’ll get… each winner will receive prizes worth over £100:
  • a £50 voucher to spend on Redwood Wholefood's* yummy animal-free foods
  • a trophy
  • a selection of recipe books
  • fantastic Viva! merchandise, including teeshirts and stickers!
The best of the two winners will also get a fantastic prize for their school:
  • a Veggie Food Technology Gift Box worth £100 – including recipe books
  • a Vegetarian Recipe Club subscription (and previous editions in a folder) plus aprons
  • a £50 cash prize from Redwoods
There will also be 10 runners-up who will each receive prize goodie bags worth £50. So if you think you’ve got what it takes to be the veggie version of Jamie Oliver, fill in the form below! The closing date is Monday 16 February 2009. The entries we receive will be cooked and tested by a panel of four judges to decide which are the tastiest!
